Planon, a global software provider in real estate and facility management, has acquired a majority stake in real estate software company Reasult B.V. in which Newion has been a shareholder since 2013.
Reasult B.V., founded in 2000 and headquartered in Ede (The Netherlands) is a software company that optimizes the financial performance of real estate portfolios and projects. Reasult’s leading software solutions are used by real estate developers, asset managers and housing corporations in the Dutch- and German-speaking markets. Example customers are Amvest, a.s.r. real estate, VolkerWessels and HANSAINVEST.
In 2013, Reasult was looking for an investor that could assist in:
1. migrating the business model (from ‘perpetual’ licenses to subscriptions)
2. re-platforming the products from ‘on-premise installations’ to a ‘cloud platform’
3. their international expansion
These topics perfectly match with Newion’s knowledge and skill set. All these elements of this strategic business plan were realized and today, Reasult is the high-end market leader in The Netherlands, and gained a relevant market position in Germany that could result in market leadership in a couple of years.
Newion wants to thank the management team and is honored to have had the opportunity to assist in this part of Reasult’s journey.
With this exit Newion realizes a 5 times return on its investment.
