How we built
the way we invest
Newion is a venture firm from Amsterdam that has invested for over 25 years. That’s long enough to see how quickly markets change, and how good companies are built.
Those two speeds, how markets move, and how companies mature, create a familiar dynamic: growth can hide weak foundations, and tough markets surface them. Over time, the job becomes less about reacting to movement and more about understanding what will still work when conditions stop cooperating.
That’s the lens we bring to every conversation. We start with curiosity, then pressure-test coherence between the problem, the product, and a credible path to selling it. We look for compelling logic at the base of every company story: an underlying market shift, and people who can lead the journey.
And we stay close after the investment, too: not to run companies, but to help founders make the early calls that shape the next year: sequencing, trade-offs, perspectives. In the first 12–18 months, those decisions compound fast.
We invest at Seed and Series A, typically €1–10M, in rounds up to €20M, across European digital tech. Our team is compact and dedicated, so responsibility stays close to the work: we debate until the reasoning is clear, align, and move.
We use experience as leverage, not legacy.
